Who are we
The Value Group unites two innovative sister companies, Value Maritime and Value Carbon, working together to drive decarbonisation across shipping and industry.
Since 2017, Value Maritime has been at the forefront of maritime sustainability, helping shipowners and operators boost competitiveness through significant emissions reductions and cost savings. Its cutting-edge technology is designed to reduce the environmental footprint of shipping, contributing to a more sustainable future for the entire maritime industry. The goal is to help transform the way the sector operates, combining cleaner solutions with tangible financial benefits.
Meanwhile, Value Carbon focuses on land-based carbon management, addressing the entire carbon value chain. From carbon capture and handling to innovative reuse strategies, it aims to create efficient systems for storage and “catch and release” initiatives, all with a focus on generating both environmental and financial dividends.
Together, the mission is clear: to help our clients achieve valuable emission reductions through sustainable, innovative technologies, backed by a team that is committed to making a real impact.
Value Maritime
- Value Maritime developed the Filtree system, an innovative product designed to clean exhaust gases from seagoing vessels. Over time, this system was enhanced with a carbon capture module, enabling ships to capture CO2 from cleaned exhaust emissions.
- A key advantage of this system is its modular design, housed within a single container, allowing for seamless integration on vessels. The energy-efficient solution captures CO2 by binding it with a solvent and storing it onboard, avoiding unnecessary fuel consumption that would otherwise be required for onboard CO2 handling. The CO2 is later offloaded at port using renewable energy, ensuring a zero-carbon footprint during processing.
- Today, over 60 vessels operate with Value Maritime’s exhaust gas cleaning system, with approximately 30 vessels equipped with carbon capture capabilities. The company, based in the port of Rotterdam, continues to lead in sustainability for the global shipping industry.
